Homemade Toilet Cleaner Gel

This homemade toilet cleaner gel is an easy, all-natural way to keep your bathroom sparkling. Made with borax, baking soda, and castile soap, it’s tough on stains, fresh-smelling with essential oils, and completely non-toxic.

Materials

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 1/4 cup borax
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup castile soap
  • 15 drops essential oil optional

Instructions

  • Add the essential oils to the castile soap.
  • Mix borax and baking soda in the hot water. Stir until the baking soda and borax are dissolved.
  • Then add in the castile soap.
  • Pour the mixture into a squirt bottle.
  • To Use: Shake to fully combine. Add a good squirt or about a ¼ cup into the toilet. Let sit for a few minutes, then clean as normal.

Notes

  • If you want this to last longer, consider adding in a preservative because it does use water.
  • Any essential oils works. Citrus helps make the toilet smell great!
