Sugar Cookie Lip Balm

A sweet and cozy DIY Sugar Cookie Lip Balm made with vanilla, sweet orange, and a hint of cinnamon smells like fresh-baked cookies and keeps your lips soft all winter long.

Materials

  • 2 tablespoons carrier oil
  • 2 tablespoons beeswax
  • 1 ½ tablespoon coconut oil
  • 3 drops vanilla essential
  • 2 drops sweet orange essential oil
  • ½ tablespoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  • In a double boiler, melt the beeswax, carrier oil, coconut oil, and ground cinnamon together until fully liquefied. Stir occasionally to keep the cinnamon from clumping.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly, just enough so it won’t damage the essential oils.
  • Stir in the vanilla essential oil and sweet orange essential oil until well blended.
  • Pour into lip balm tubes or small tins. Let sit undisturbed until solid, about 1–2 hours.

Notes

  • You can strain out the cinnamon, but it helps give it a nice color.
