Tallow Conditioner Bar

Makes 2 if using same mold

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons BTMS-50
  • 1 tablespoon cetyl alcohol
  • 1 tablespoon tallow
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa butter
  • 2 teaspoons argan oil
  • 10-15 drops essential oil total
  • Silicone mold

Instructions

  • Add the BTMS-50, cetyl alcohol, tallow, cocoa butter, and argan oil to a heat-safe container.
  • Melt gently using a double boiler until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  • Stir in essential oils and preservative if using.
  • Pour into silicone molds. Let harden fully overnight.
  • After shampooing, rub the bar between your hands or directly onto wet hair. Focus on the mid-lengths and ends, leave on for 1-3 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Notes

  • Allow the bar to dry completely between uses to extend its life.
  • This recipe is water-free, so a preservative is optional but recommended since the bar will be used in a wet environment.
