Aloe Vera Moisturizer

This recipe makes around 3 ounces.

Materials

  • 2 tablespoons carrier oil
  • 2 tablespoons shea butter
  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera gel
  • 12 drops essential oils

Instructions

  • Combine the carrier oil and shea butter into a glass container. Heat on low in a double broiler until it is all melted.
  • Let sit until it is solid. Then whip it up until light and fluffy.
  • Add in the aloe vera gel.
  • Then add in your essential oils and mix once again until all incorporated.

Notes

You can use any carrier oil you would like.
12 drops essential oil will make a .5% dilution. Any essential oils work.
Most likely, the aloe vera gel you use has a preservative, so it helps this last, but it is best to keep in the fridge and use within a month or so.
