Christmas Candles
This makes a 7-ounce candle. Make your own Christmas Candle with soy wax and essential oils! Choose a Candy Cane or Christmas Tree scent for a cozy, festive touch or a perfect handmade gift.
Materials
- 1 ½ cups soy wax flakes
- 30-40 drops essential oils
- 1 tablespoon red candle dye
- 1 candle wick cotton or wood
- 1 heat-safe jar
Instructions
- Fix your wick in the center of the jar with a glue dot or a dab of melted wax.
- Melt soy wax and red candle dye in a double boiler, stirring gently until fully liquid.
- Remove from heat and cool to 125-130°F. Stir in your chosen essential oils until well combined.
- Pour wax into the jar, securing the wick upright.
- Let harden for 4-6 hours or overnight. Trim wick to ¼ inch before lighting.
Notes
- Candy Cane: 55 drops peppermint + 35 drops vanilla + 15 drops sweet orange
- Christmas Tree: 55 drops fir needle + 30 drops cedarwood + 20 drops pine
