Coffee Body Butter

This made about 12 ounces.

Materials

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup shea butter
  • 1/4 cup cocoa butter
  • 1/4 cup coffee infused oil carrier oil and coffee beans needed
  • 30 drops coffee essential oil
  • 18 drops vanilla oleoresin

Instructions

  • Add your ground coffee to a clean, dry glass jar. Pour the carrier oil over the coffee until it’s fully covered. Stir gently to combine. Let sit for a few weeks, then strain the oil through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer to remove all coffee grounds. Alternatively, you can put in a double boiler for a few hours as well.
  • Combine the coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and infused oil in a double boiler or heat-safe bowl over simmering water. Stir occasionally until everything is fully melted.
  • Remove from heat and let the mixture cool until it is all hard.
  • Use a hand mixer to whip for 3-5 minutes until creamy.
  • Then, add in your essential oils and whip again.
  • Transfer into a clean jar or container with a lid.

Notes

Any carrier oil works. I used almond oil.
You can use only shea butter or only cocoa butter if you prefer.
