If you love the smell of fresh coffee in the morning, you’re going to love this DIY Coffee Whipped Body Butter. It’s rich and creamy. Not only does it make your skin feel soft, but the caffeine from the coffee also helps tighten and tone.
I made this batch using a mix of coconut oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter. The subtle coffee vanilla scent makes it feel like a dessert for your skin!

Coffee Body Butter Recipe:
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup shea butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa butter
- 1/4 cup coffee infused oil (carrier oil + coffee beans)
- 30 drops coffee essential oil
- 18 drops vanilla oleoresin

Instructions:
Here is how I made the coffee whipped body butter.
1. Make the Coffee-Infused Oil
Start by infusing your oil with coffee.
Add ground coffee to a clean dry glass jar, then pour in your carrier oil until all the grounds are fully covered. (I used almond oil, but you can use any carrier oil like jojoba, olive, or grapeseed all work great.)
- Slow method: Let the jar sit for a few weeks, shaking it occasionally.
- Quick method: Warm it gently in a double boiler for a few hours.
Once it’s infused, strain the oil through cheesecloth or a fine-mesh strainer.

2. Melt and Mix the Butters
In a double boiler (or a heat-safe bowl over simmering water), combine the coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and your freshly infused coffee oil.
Stir occasionally until everything melts together into a smooth liquid.

Remove from heat and let it cool completely until it firms up.

You can put it in the fridge to speed up the process, but don’t let it get hard just enough to whip easily.
3. Whip It Up!
Once your mixture is solid but still scoopable, grab a hand mixer and whip for 3–5 minutes until it turns creamy and fluffy.

4. Add Essential Oils and Vanilla
Add your coffee essential oil and vanilla oleoresin, then whip again to combine.

5. Transfer to a Jar
Transfer your whipped butter into a clean jar, preferably with a lid that seals well. I like using small mason jars or amber glass jars.

Notes:
- Any carrier oil works, but almond oil gives the smoothest finish.
- You can use only shea butter or only cocoa butter if you prefer just keep the ratio to 1 cup total.
- Store in a cool place away from direct sunlight; if it’s warm where you live, keep it in the fridge so it doesn’t melt.
