Homemade Rose Oil for Hair and Skin

This homemade rose oil an all-natural treat for your hair and skin. It's deeply hydrating, easy to make, and infused with the delicate scent of roses for a spa-like experience at home!

Materials

  • Dried rose petals
  • Glass bottle with dropper Perfect for easy application.
  • 6 ounces Jojoba oil it’s lightweight and great for all skin types.
  • 20 drops Vitamin E oil A natural preservative and excellent for skin nourishment.
  • 8 ounce mason jar with lid

Instructions

  • Fill the mason jar about halfway with dried rose petals.
  • Pour in 6 ounces of jojoba oil. If you’re using a mason jar, the side measurements make this easy. Otherwise, a measuring cup works just fine.
  • Add 20 drops of vitamin E oil for extra nourishment
  • Infuse the Oil
You have two options for infusion:
Let the mixture sit in the mason jar for about a week. This allows the oil to fully absorb the benefits of the rose petals.
Use a double boiler on the stove for a faster infusion. I personally prefer the sit-and-wait method, it’s easier, and the results are just as good.
  • After infusion, strain out the petals and pour the oil into a glass dropper bottle using a funnel. This step helps since the bottle opening is usually small.

Notes

How to Use Rose Oil at Home:
  • For Hair: Apply a few drops to your scalp and massage it in for a nourishing treatment. You can also smooth a little over the ends of your hair to keep them soft and shiny.
  • For Skin: Use it as a facial oil or mix a few drops into your body lotion for extra hydration.
