Shea Butter, Vanilla Coffee Sugar Scrub
A nourishing DIY Vanilla Coffee Sugar Scrub that exfoliates, hydrates, and smells like a warm vanilla latte. Made with coffee, sugar, almond oil, and shea butter for soft, glowing skin!
- 2 coffee pods or about 4 tablespoons of coffee grounds
- 1/2 cup sugar I used cane sugar, but white sugar works too!
- 10 drops of vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup almond oil or substitute with coconut, jojoba, or your favorite oil
- 4 tbsp melted organic shea butter adds extra moisture!
- Glass airtight jar
Empty out two used coffee pods or measure out four tablespoons of coffee grounds. You can use fresh or used coffee grounds. The slightly damp texture of used grounds is perfect for gentle exfoliation, while fresh grounds offer a slightly stronger scent.
Next, pour in 1/2 cup of sugar.
Add 10 drops of vanilla extract.
Pour in 1/4 cup of almond oil. If almond oil isn’t your favorite, feel free to swap it out for coconut, jojoba, or any nourishing oil you love.
Add 4 tablespoons of melted organic shea butter.
Give everything a good stir until well combined. Once mixed, transfer your scrub into an airtight glass jar. This will help keep it fresh and ready to use.
To use: Scoop out a small amount and gently massage it onto damp skin in circular motions. Rinse off with warm water, and enjoy the silky-smooth results! You can use this sugar scrub 2-3 times a week.
