I make this scrub on repeat, about once a month or whenever I want to treat myself to a little at-home pampering.
This Shea butter Vanilla Coffee Sugar Scrub is packed with natural exfoliants and moisturizing ingredients to give you a spa-like experience right at home.

Vanilla Coffee Sugar Scrub Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 coffee pods (or about 4 tablespoons of coffee grounds)
- 1/2 cup sugar (I used cane sugar, but white sugar works too!)
- 10 drops of vanilla extract or Vanilla oil
- 1/4 cup almond oil (or substitute with coconut, jojoba, or your favorite oil)
- 4 tablespoons melted organic shea butter
- Glass airtight jar

Instructions:
1. Prepare the Coffee Grounds
If you’re a coffee lover, this step is just an excuse to brew a fresh cup! Empty out two used coffee pods or measure out four tablespoons of coffee grounds. You can use fresh or used coffee grounds, I’ve tried both, and they work great!
The slightly damp texture of used grounds is perfect for gentle exfoliation, while fresh grounds offer a slightly stronger scent.

2. Add the Sugar
Next, pour in 1/2 cup of sugar. Sugar is a great natural exfoliant that helps buff away dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

3. Add Vanilla
Add 10 drops of vanilla extract. This step is purely for that warm, cozy scent, it pairs beautifully with the coffee aroma!

4. Moisturize with Almond Oil
Pour in 1/4 cup of almond oil. This will help keep your skin hydrated after exfoliating. If almond oil isn’t your favorite, feel free to swap it out for coconut, jojoba, or any nourishing oil you love.

5. Incorporate Shea Butter
Add 4 tablespoons of melted organic shea butter. While my original goal was to make this scrub whipped, the shea butter ended up adding a layer of deep moisture instead.

6. Mix and Store
Give everything a good stir until well combined. Once mixed, transfer your scrub into an airtight glass jar. This will help keep it fresh and ready to use.

How to Use Your Vanilla Coffee Sugar Scrub:
Scoop out a small amount and gently massage it onto damp skin in circular motions. Rinse off with warm water, and enjoy the silky-smooth results! You can use this sugar scrub 2-3 times a week.
