The Cutest DIY Gingerbread Soap
This makes around 5-6 soaps.
- 1/2 pound melt-and-pour soap base
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 30 drops vanilla oleoresin 20 drops cinnamon leaf, 20 drops ginger, 10 drops clove, 10 drops sweet orange
Cut the soap base into small cubes and place them in a heat-safe bowl with the ginger and cinnamon. Melt using a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
Let the mixture cool for a minute or two so it’s warm but not hot.
Add your essential oils and stir well to distribute evenly throughout the soap.
Pour the mixture into your soap molds. Allow the soap to fully cool and harden at room temperature for several hours.
Once firm, remove the soap from the molds. Store in a cool, dry place or wrap in parchment or plastic wrap to preserve freshness.
- Any essential oils will work.
- You can strain out the cinnamon and ginger if you don’t like the bits in it.
