The Cutest DIY Gingerbread Soap

This makes around 5-6 soaps.

Materials

  • 1/2 pound melt-and-pour soap base
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 30 drops vanilla oleoresin 20 drops cinnamon leaf, 20 drops ginger, 10 drops clove, 10 drops sweet orange

Instructions

  • Cut the soap base into small cubes and place them in a heat-safe bowl with the ginger and cinnamon. Melt using a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring frequently until smooth.
  • Let the mixture cool for a minute or two so it’s warm but not hot.
  • Add your essential oils and stir well to distribute evenly throughout the soap.
  • Pour the mixture into your soap molds. Allow the soap to fully cool and harden at room temperature for several hours.
  • Once firm, remove the soap from the molds. Store in a cool, dry place or wrap in parchment or plastic wrap to preserve freshness.

Notes

  • Any essential oils will work.
  • You can strain out the cinnamon and ginger if you don’t like the bits in it.
