Vanilla Cashmere Whipped Body Butter

Rich, creamy, and lightly scented with vanilla cashmere this whipped body butter is moisturizing, easy to make, and perfect for soft, glowy skin.

Materials

  • 1/2 cup shea butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 15-20 drops vanilla cashmere fragrance oil or vanilla essential oil
  • 10-15 drops drops vitamin E oil optional
  • 1 tsp cornstarch or arrowroot powder optional, for a less greasy feel

Instructions

  • Add the shea butter and coconut oil to a heat-safe bowl or measuring cup.
  • Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir well. If not fully melted, microwave for another 30 seconds and stir again.
  • Add vanilla cashmere oil and vitamin E oil (if using)
  • Transfer to a clean bowl or stand mixer bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour, or until the mixture starts to firm up.
  • Remove from the fridge and whip on high for about 5 minutes, scraping the sides as needed, until fluffy. Add cornstarch or arrowroot powder if you want a lighter, less greasy texture.
  • Whip again briefly to fully combine.
  • Scoop into a clean jar, seal, and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you're using a premade vanilla cashmere fragrance oil, just make sure it’s skin-safe and phthalate-free!
  • I know finding vanilla cashmere oil is hard, so you can use vanilla essential oil instead. However, if you only use vanilla, your whipped body butter will still smell delicious, but it won’t have that soft, perfume-y cashmere vibe. You can also DIY a cashmere-like blend by mixing vanilla with something warm like sandalwood or amber.
