This homemade vanilla cashmere whipped body butter is cozy in a jar. It’s made with just a few simple ingredients, but the texture is ultra-fluffy and the scent is chef’s kiss. If you’ve never made your own body butter before it’s honestly easier than it sounds, and way more affordable.

The amount of Vanilla Cashmere lotion TikToks I’ve seen this past couple weeks is a lot. I know it’s a trend and to be honest, I’m highly influenceable. I love smelling like vanilla, and anything whipped is just perfect. I saw that EOS® came out with a new Vanilla Cashmere whipped lotion, so I figured why not recreate something similar with my own recipe?

If this is your first time making a whipped body butter, you’re going to love this vanilla cashmere whipped body butter. I used shea butter for this recipe, but I’ve also made whipped tallow butters in the past and both turn out super fluffy and moisturizing.

I really hope more and more non-toxic, natural recipes start trending soon because honestly, making your own skincare is not only fun, it just feels good knowing exactly what you’re putting on your skin. And I think as more people start paying attention to ingredients and looking for safer alternatives, brands will also step up and begin creating more clean, non-toxic options too.

The more we talk about it and share what works for us, the more this kind of change becomes the norm not just a niche.

Vanilla Cashmere Whipped Body Butter Recipe:

Ingredients:

Note: If you’re using a premade vanilla cashmere fragrance oil, just make sure it’s skin-safe and phthalate-free! I know finding vanilla cashmere oil is hard, so you can use vanilla essential oil instead. However, if you only use vanilla, your whipped body butter will still smell delicious, but it won’t have that soft, perfume-y cashmere vibe. You can also DIY a cashmere-like blend by mixing vanilla with something warm like sandalwood or amber.

Instructions:

1. Melt the oils

Add the shea butter and coconut oil to a heat-safe bowl or measuring cup. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir well. If it’s not fully melted, microwave for another 30 seconds and stir again.

4. Add your scent and vitamin E oil

Add your vanilla cashmere fragrance oil and vitamin E oil (if using).

2. Refrigerate the mixture

Pour the melted mixture into a clean bowl (or the bowl of a stand mixer), and place it in the fridge for 1 hour, or until it starts to firm up.

3. Whip it up

Remove from the fridge and beat on high for about 5 minutes. Scrape down the sides as needed until it turns into a fluffy, whipped body butter.

If you want your body butter to be less greasy, you can add 1 teaspoon (or more) of cornstarch or arrowroot powder while whipping. It helps absorb excess oil and gives your butter a soft finish without messing with the texture.

5. Store in a jar

Spoon the whipped body butter into a clean jar, seal it up, and enjoy!
