I love vanilla. Like, really love it. I put vanilla in just about everything, coffee, DIY body scrubs, you name it. And if you’re anything like me, this Vanilla Infused Honey is about to become one of your new go-to kitchen staples.
Now, I don’t usually post a lot of my more foodish recipes because this blog isn’t exactly a food blog. But there are some recipes, like my oregano oil and this one that are just too good, too useful, and honestly, too easy not to share.
If you want to give this as a thoughtful gift, you can put it in a cute basket with some toast or bread. Add a “Handmade with Love” sticker to the jar (I get mine from Amazon) and tie it up with a little ribbon. It’s a simple, sweet gift that anyone will appreciate!
Vanilla Infused Honey Recipe
This infused honey is naturally sweet, floral, and packed with warm vanilla flavor. It’s perfect for drizzling over yogurt, stirring into tea, or, eating straight off the spoon. Plus, it makes an amazing homemade gift.
Ingredients:
- Honey
- Vanilla beans
- Glass container

Instructions:
1. Prep the Vanilla Beans
Cut your vanilla beans into smaller pieces. You don’t have to scrape the seeds, just chop them up.

2. Fill the Jar
Fill a small glass jar halfway with the vanilla beans.

3. Add the Honey
Pour the honey over the vanilla, letting it slowly coat everything. If there are air bubbles, use a knife to work them out.

4. Seal and Store
Cover with a lid and let it do its thing.

5. Infuse the Flavor
Every day, turn the jar upside down and back again to help the vanilla flavor distribute evenly. Let it sit for at least two weeks (or longer for an even stronger vanilla taste).

6. Strain or Keep It All In
After a few weeks, you can strain out the vanilla pieces if you prefer, or just leave them in and scoop around them.

Ways to Use Vanilla Infused Honey
- Stir it into tea or coffee.
- Drizzle over oatmeal, yogurt, or pancakes.
- Add a spoonful to cookies or cakes for extra flavor.
- Mix into your DIY recipes, etc.

Side note: Now that I’m writing this post, I realized the vanilla beans next to the honey kind of look like a spider. 😬 But I promise, this is delicious and absolutely worth making!
This honey lasts for a long time, and the flavor just keeps getting better with time.
