This post is all about grapefruit simmer pot recipe.
My Pinterest home page is full of spring simmer pots, and it made me want to try a couple of my own. I love the fresh scent of fruit and nature in my house, especially because I have two dogs, and I don’t like to use toxic air fresheners. Plus, I’ve developed a lot of sensitivity to chemical fragrances, so simmer pots are the perfect solution.
Simmer pots make your home smell amazing while naturally freshening the air, and the scent lingers for hours. Just keep refilling the water, and your house will keep smelling incredible.

I bought a very inexpensive simmer pot from Amazon because I didn’t want to use my only two pots and, to be honest, it’s also cuter.
Grapefruit Simmer Pot Recipe
Fill your home with a refreshing and calming aroma with this simple simmer pot blend!
Ingredients
- 1 grapefruit, sliced
- 1–2 lemons, sliced
- 1–2 fresh mint leaves
- 1 tbsp dried lavender buds
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4–6 cups water

Instructions
1. Prep the Ingredients
Slice the grapefruit and lemons into thin rounds.
2. Assemble the Simmer Pot
Add the citrus slices, mint leaves, and lavender buds to your pot.

3. Add the Vanilla Extract
Pour in the vanilla extract for a warm, slightly sweet undertone. If you want a stronger scent, you can add a few drops of essential oil, but I skipped it, and it still smelled amazing.

4. Simmer & Enjoy
Fill the pot with water and let it gently simmer over low heat. Keep an eye on the water level and add more as needed to prevent it from drying out.

That’s it! This blend is citrusy, herbal, and just a little floral, perfect for a fresh, spring-like atmosphere in your home. 🍊🌿💜
