There’s something so luxurious about a homemade sugar scrub, especially when it smells like warm vanilla and creamy coconut! If you love simple, all-natural skincare, this Vanilla Coconut Sugar Scrub is the perfect DIY. It’s easy to make, budget-friendly, and will leave your skin feeling soft, smooth, and moisturized.
I made this delicious, relaxing Vanilla Coconut Sugar Scrub today after talking to a friend about it, and it was even better than I thought it would be! The smell while making it was so good I wanted to jump in the shower and use it right away. I even washed my hands with it just because it smelled that amazing.
Why You’ll Love This Scrub
- Exfoliates Gently: Sugar scrubs remove dead skin cells, revealing softer skin, that’s why I love making them!
- Moisturizes Naturally: Coconut oil helps hydrate your skin without clogging pores.
- Smells Amazing :The mix of vanilla and coconut is warm, sweet, and soothing.
- Quick & Easy : You only need four ingredients and five minutes!

How to Use Your Vanilla Coconut Sugar Scrub
- In the shower: Massage onto damp skin, then rinse for a silky-smooth finish.
- As a hand scrub: Perfect for dry hands, especially in colder months.
- For self-care nights: Pair it with a warm bath for the ultimate spa experience.
Sugar Scrub Storage Tips
- Keep your scrub in an airtight jar at room temperature.
- If using unrefined coconut oil, it may solidify in colder temperatures, just warm it slightly before use.
- Use within 2–3 months for the best freshness.
Customize Your Scrub!
Honestly, I love trying different variations of my recipes, and next time I make this whether for myself or as a gift these are some options I think would be great additions.
- Brown Sugar Swap: Use brown sugar for a richer, caramel-like scent.
- Coconut-Free Version: Use jojoba or sweet almond oil instead.
- Extra Nourishment: Add a teaspoon of vitamin E oil for extra skin benefits.
- Add more coconut to it!
