Fall isn’t just about pumpkin spice lattes and cozy candles it’s also the perfect time to give your skin a little extra love. Every year, I love making seasonal scrubs because they’re simple, non-toxic, and feel so luxurious. This pumpkin body scrub is one of my favorites it smells like fall in a jar and makes your skin feel soft and refreshed.

This pumpkin body scrub recipe recipe makes about 5–6 ounces, just enough to enjoy for yourself or share as a sweet handmade gift.

Natural Pumpkin Body Scrub Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin powder
  • 2 tablespoons carrier oil (jojoba, almond, coconut, or your favorite)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 14 drops essential oils: 4 drops clove, 3 drops nutmeg, 2 drops ginger, 5 drops vanilla oleoresin

Instructions:

1. Mix the Oils

Start by adding your essential oils into your chosen carrier oil. This helps the scent blend evenly into the scrub.

2. Combine With Sugar

Pour your oil mixture into the sugar and stir well until everything is evenly coated.

3. Add Pumpkin Powder

Finally, stir in the pumpkin powder until everything is smooth and combined. Transfer to a jar, and you’re done!

Notes:

  • They give the scrub its cozy pumpkin spice scent, but you can skip them if you prefer unscented. You can also use a pre-made pumpkin spice essential oil blend.
  • If you’d like, mix in a bit of orange mica powder for that warm fall look.
  • Any carrier oil works, try almond for light moisture, coconut for a richer feel, or even an herb-infused oil for extra skin benefits.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin powder
  • 2 tablespoons carrier oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • Add in your drops of essential oils to the carrier oil.
  • Then pour it into the sugar and stir to combine.
  • Finally, add in the pumpkin powder and stir until all combined. Add to your jar and enjoy!

Notes

  • Essential oils are optional, but help create the smell. Sometimes there are pumpkin spice essential oils you can use, otherwise, a blend on cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and ginger can create a nice fall smell.
  • You can add in a mica powder to give it a more orange color if you prefer.
  • Any carrier oil works, or you can use an herb infused one too!
