There’s just something magical about fall. The crisp air, cozy sweaters, and of course pumpkin spice everything. This year, instead of just sipping it in your latte, why not let your whole home smell like fall?
I made the sweetest little 2-ounce pumpkin spice candle, and it’s the perfect DIY project for this season. It’s small, simple, and fills your space with that comforting blend of cinnamon, clove, ginger, and orange.

Every year I make fall candles for my home because, honestly, pumpkin spice is my favorite smell. I also love making my own candles every season because it’s the best way to make sure they’re non-toxic.
This little 2-ounce candle is also the sweetest handmade gift for friends, teachers, or anyone who needs a little autumn cheer.
Pumpkin Spice Fall Candle Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces soy wax
- Orange candle dye
- 12 drops Cinnamon Bark essential oil
- 8 drops Clove essential oil
- 6 drops Ginger essential oil
- 6 drops Sweet Orange essential oil
- 2-ounce jar
- Candle wick

Instructions:
1. Melt the Wax
Add your soy wax and a touch of orange candle dye into a heat-safe jar or bowl. Using a double boiler method, gently heat until the wax is fully melted. Stir every so often so the color mixes evenly with the wax.

2. Prepare the Wick
While the wax is melting, secure your wick to the center of your candle jar. A little dab of hot glue or candle sticker works perfectly to hold it in place.

3. Add the Essential Oils
Once the wax has melted, remove it from the heat and let it cool just slightly. Then stir in your essential oils: cinnamon bark, clove, ginger, and sweet orange. This is the magic blend that smells just like pumpkin spice.

4. Pour the Candle
Carefully pour your scented wax into the prepared jar, keeping the wick upright. Let it sit undisturbed until it hardens completely.

Notes:
- The orange dye adds that beautiful fall look, but you can skip it if you like a natural creamy soy wax finish.
- The essential oils together mimic that cozy pumpkin spice scent without needing any artificial fragrance.
- ou can also use beeswax instead of soy if you prefer. It’ll give your candle a slightly different texture and color.
