I’ve been scrolling Pinterest looking for moisturizing recipes that can work for stretch marks and that really work. I know it’s easy to just go and buy one, but I like to make my own natural creams sometimes because I just trust the process and it really helps. I’ve proven that to myself over and over again.
I also love making little gifts for my friends, and lately, I’ve had so many coworkers and friends getting pregnant, so this is one of those gifts I’m so happy to give.

This stretch mark cream is simple to make, smells good, and will leave your skin feeling super soft and hydrated. I made it with nourishing ingredients like shea butter, coconut oil, and cocoa butter all rich in natural fatty acids that will help keep your skin smooth and moisturized.
Even though there isn’t really a way to prevent stretch marks completely (especially during pregnancy), keeping the skin soft and hydrated can make a big difference. This cream does exactly that and it’s non-toxic and natural.
Homemade Stretch Mark Cream Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup shea butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa butter
- 1 tablespoon castor oil
- 6 drops essential oil

Instructions
1. Melt everything together
In a double boiler, melt the coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and castor oil until everything is smooth. Stir often.
Want to save this for later?

2. Cool it down
Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes you don’t want it hot when adding your essential oils.
3. Add essential oils
Stir in your essential oils. Lavender, frankincense, or helichrysum are great options for skin-loving benefits.

4. Pour and let it set
Pour into your jar or tin and let it cool completely. You can whip it later for a fluffier texture, or just leave it solid and creamy.

Notes
- Keep it somewhere cool so it doesn’t melt.
- Mango butter works great instead of shea butter if you want something lighter.
- Essential oils are totally optional but make it smell sooo good.
