I’m not someone who spends an hour on self-care every night. Most days I just want to wash my face, put on comfy socks, and call it a day. But I do like having a few simple routines that make me feel put together without a ton of effort.
I started making this cracked heel cream it because I wanted something richer than regular lotion, something that actually stayed on overnight.
I keep a jar of this by my bed, and it’s honestly one of those DIYs I’ll never stop making. There’s something so satisfying about taking five minutes to whip up a cream that works better than anything store bought.

Apply a small amount to clean, dry heels and massage it in well.
For best results, slip on a pair of cotton socks and let the cream work its magic overnight. Your sheets stay clean, and your feet wake up super soft.

Notes
- Shelf life: About 6–12 months since there’s no water in the recipe.
- Best essential oils: Lavender for soothing, tea tree for extra care, peppermint for that tingly spa feel, or frankincense for serious skin love.
- A little goes a long way this is a balm, not a lotion!
