I’m not someone who spends an hour on self-care every night. Most days I just want to wash my face, put on comfy socks, and call it a day. But I do like having a few simple routines that make me feel put together without a ton of effort.

I started making this cracked heel cream it because I wanted something richer than regular lotion, something that actually stayed on overnight.

I keep a jar of this by my bed, and it’s honestly one of those DIYs I’ll never stop making. There’s something so satisfying about taking five minutes to whip up a cream that works better than anything store bought.

Cracked Heel Cream Recipe

This batch makes about 3–4 ounces perfect for a small jar on your nightstand.

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons shea butter
  • 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets
  • 1 tablespoon castor oil
  • 1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
  • 20 drops essential oil (optional)

1. Melt the base ingredients

Send it to yourself now and try it out when you’re ready!

3. Add the nourishing oils

Stir in the castor oil and sweet almond oil until fully combined.

4. Add scent if you want

If you’re using essential oils, add them now and mix well.

5. Pour and set

Pour the mixture into a clean jar or tin and let it cool and harden completely at room temperature.

That’s it no fancy equipment, no weird chemicals, just real ingredients.

How to Use Cracked Heel Cream

Apply a small amount to clean, dry heels and massage it in well.
For best results, slip on a pair of cotton socks and let the cream work its magic overnight. Your sheets stay clean, and your feet wake up super soft.

Notes

  • Shelf life: About 6–12 months since there’s no water in the recipe.
  • Best essential oils: Lavender for soothing, tea tree for extra care, peppermint for that tingly spa feel, or frankincense for serious skin love.
  • A little goes a long way this is a balm, not a lotion!
