If your hands get dry, cracked, or just plain miserable every winter same here. The cold air outside and constant handwashing inside always leaves my skin begging for moisture. Instead of reaching for another store-bought cream, I love making this rich, whipped tallow hand cream.

Tallow is deeply moisturizing, packed with skin-loving vitamins, and when whipped with butters and oils, it makes the creamiest tallow balm.

Why You’ll Love this Tallow Balm

This balm is thick, creamy, and so healing exactly what winter hands need. Tallow is the star here, mimicking our skin’s natural oils and helping to deeply nourish and repair dryness. The arrowroot keeps it from feeling too heavy, so you can use it during the day without greasy fingerprints everywhere.

I keep a little jar on my nightstand because nothing feels better than going to bed with hands wrapped in this buttery tallow balm.

3. Whip It Up

Add your essential oils to the carrier oil. Then whip the hardened mixture with a hand mixer until it becomes light and fluffy. Slowly drizzle in the carrier oil mixture as you continue whipping.
