Looking for some bathroom organization ideas? No matter how big or small your bathroom is, having a clean and organized space can seriously be life-changing. Here are a few Bathroom organization aesthetic ideas to help you create a functional and minimalist bathroom you’ll love!
Ever since I started decluttering my house, I’ve become a little obsessed with creating spaces that are both functional and aesthetic (of course)—but also easy to maintain! When it comes to bathroom organization, there are so many ways to make it work. Whether it’s under the sink, on the countertop, shelves, or in drawers, here are a few ideas to get you started.
Bathroom Organization Ideas Under the Sink:
1. Pull-Out Organizers
Under-sink storage can get messy fast, especially in a small bathroom. Honestly, you don’t need to keep extras for everything. These days, I’m making an effort to actually use things up before replacing them. Honestly, the only extras worth keeping under the sink are soap refills and your favorite bathroom cleaning essentials.
A simple Under Sink Storage Organizer can help keep cleaning supplies or those essential extra toiletries neatly organized. It’s compact, functional, and perfect for renters since it doesn’t require installation.
Before you buy any organizers, I’d suggest decluttering first and figuring out exactly what you want to keep under the sink.
2. Storage Baskets
Wicker or fabric storage baskets are my go-to for keeping things tidy under the sink. If you declutter most of your stuff (trust me, it’s worth it!), you’ll probably only need one or two baskets. You can use one for extras and the other for hair products or cleaning supplies—whatever works for you! It’s such a simple way to stay organized.
Don’t go overboard buying organizers—get only what you actually need! Otherwise, they’ll just turn into more clutter. If you only need one, stick with one. You can find them at places like Target, Amazon, Marshalls, or Ross.
Bathroom Organization Ideas On the Countertop: Keep It Clean and Functional
1. Clear Glass Canisters
I don’t personally use clear glass jars on my countertop, but I know some people who do! They’re great for storing things like cotton swabs or reusable makeup pads. If that’s you, go ahead and grab some cute glass jars—but don’t feel like you have to get them just because they’re trendy. If you’re not going to use them, skip it! Functionality comes first, always.
What to store: Cotton swabs, bath salts, cotton pads.
2. Wicker Baskets
This is literally the only thing I keep on my bathroom counter besides soap, and I’m completely obsessed with it. I stash all my skincare essentials in this little basket—it’s super handy! You can totally repurpose it for your own self-care stuff, glass jars, or anything else you want to keep neat and tidy on your counter.
3. Sleek Soap Dispensers
I’ll admit it, I’m pretty cheap when it comes to buying soap.I spent a couple of days hunting for affordable matching soap containers and finally found the most minimalist, white, aesthetic ones at Dollar Tree for just $1.25 each!
Bathroom Organization Ideas On the Wall: Get Things Off the Floor
If you own your home, don’t mind patching a few small holes, or have enough room for a rolling cart, floating shelves and moving carts are great additions to your bathroom!
1. Floating Shelves
For a clutter-free bathroom, consider floating shelves like Vivo Floating Wall Shelves. They’re renter-friendly, simple to install, and give you extra space for towels, plants, or your skincare routine. Plus, they don’t take up floor space, making the room feel more open.
What to store: Towels, small plants, or daily skincare items.
2. Rolling Cart
I’m not really a fan of rolling carts in the bathroom—they just give you more space to buy stuff and create clutter. But if you’re short on drawers, a rolling cart can work.
3. Large Baskets
Big baskets are such a cute way to add a little style to your bathroom without creating a sense of clutter. You can add some extra toilet paper (always needed anyway) or a few towels, and you’re good to go!
In Drawers: Organize Small Essentials
1. Drawer Dividers
For a minimalist bathroom, the key is to keep things contained. Drawer Dividers are great for separating and organizing smaller items like hair ties, tweezers, and skincare products. With these, you won’t waste time searching for that tiny item at the bottom of a drawer.
What to store: Hair accessories, tweezers, small skincare products.
2. Acrylic Containers and Stackable Storage Drawers
I’m a fan of acrylic containers, but not the way they’re being used these days. It feels like people are just buying them to organize clutter and unnecessary stuff, all in the name of “restocking.” Honestly, it’s just unrealistic consumerism—and pretty expensive too!
If you’re struggling with the new consumerism aesthetic, I wrote a post on how to stick to a low buy year that can help you.
Bathroom Organization Ideas Compact & Convenient: Waste Bins and More
1. Compact Trash Bin
A minimalist bathroom should have a waste bin that doesn’t draw too much attention but still gets the job done.
A small, sleek simplehuman Compact Bathroom Trash Can is ideal for a minimalist bathroom. It keeps waste out of sight while staying practical, without taking up too much room.
What to store: Bathroom waste (think cotton pads, wrappers, etc.).
2. Minimalist Shower Caddy
A clutter-free shower is a game changer. Keep only the essentials, and a shower caddy is the perfect way to organize it!
What to store: Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and maybe a loofah or two.
3. Acrylic Corner Shower Stool
This acrylic corner shower stool fits perfectly in the shower! It sits nicely in the corner, stays in place, and feels super sturdy. I got it for shaving my legs, and the height is just perfect. The bottom shelf is a bonus—it’s great for organizing shampoo bottles. I also love that it’s clear and blends in, so it doesn’t stand out too much. Keeps everything looking tidy and minimal!
