As soon as December gets close, my house smells like peppermint, pine, and cookies and I’m not mad about it. One of my favorite ways to get into the holiday spirit is by making these Candy Cane Bath Bombs. They smell amazing, look so festive, and make the perfect handmade gift. Plus, they’re surprisingly easy to make (and way cheaper than buying them !).

This recipe makes about 5 bath bombs if you’re using the same round silicone molds I used. Let’s get to it!
Candy Cane Bath Bombs Recipe:
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup baking soda
- 2 tablespoons citric acid
- 2 tablespoons Epsom salt
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/4 teaspoon almond oil
- 4 drops essential oil blend
- Red mica powder (to desired color)
- Spray bottle with water
- Round silicone mold
Candy Cane Essential Oil Blend:
- 1 drop Vanilla oleoresin
- 3 drops Spearmint essential oil

Instructions:
1. Mix the Oils
In a small bowl, combine the almond oil and your essential oils. Give it a little stir so it’s nicely blended.

2. Combine the Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, mix together the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salt, and corn starch. Make sure to whisk out any clumps this helps your bath bombs fizz evenly later on.

3. Add the Oils
Slowly pour your almond oil mixture into the dry ingredients while stirring continuously. Then, using your spray bottle, spritz a bit of water at a time (about six sprays worked for me) until the mixture starts to clump together like damp sand. It should hold its shape when you squeeze it not crumble apart.

4. Add Color and Mold
Separate the mixture into two bowls. In one, add a pinch of red mica powder and stir until you reach your perfect candy cane red.
layer red and white mixtures into your mold, pressing each layer down firmly. Keep layering until full.

Let them sit for at least 24 hours or until completely hardened, then gently unmold and admire your work they’ll look and smell so festive!

How to Use Candy Cane Bath Bombs:
Drop one into a warm bath and enjoy the minty, sweet aroma. The fizzing is so satisfying, and your skin will feel soft and refreshed afterward.

Gift Idea
These make adorable gifts for teachers, coworkers, or anyone who deserves a little holiday self-care. Wrap a few in clear cellophane, tie with a red ribbon, and maybe add a little tag.
