If there’s one scent that instantly feels like Christmas, it’s gingerbread that mix of warm cinnamon, spicy ginger, and sweet vanilla that makes your whole space feel like a cozy bakery. I wanted to bring that same comforting feeling to my skincare routine, and this Gingerbread Body Butter does exactly that.
It’s rich, fluffy, and smells absolutely divine. Plus, it’s 100% natural made with nourishing oils and butters your skin will love. The best part? It’s so easy to make, and you’ll feel like a festive skincare alchemist in your kitchen.
This recipe makes about 6–8 ounces, just the right amount to fill a couple of cute jars.

Gingerbread Body Butter Recipe:
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup shea butter
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons almond oil
- 1 tablespoon beeswax
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 20 drops vanilla oleoresin
- 10 drops cinnamon leaf essential oil
- 10 drops ginger essential oil
- 5 drops clove essential oil

Instructions:
1. Melt and Mix
In a double boiler, combine shea butter, coconut oil, almond oil, beeswax, ground ginger, and cinnamon. Heat slowly and gently until everything is melted into a smooth, golden mixture. Your kitchen will start smelling like a holiday cookie shop!

2. Cool and Whip
Once melted, remove from the heat and let it sit at room temperature (or pop it into the fridge) until it starts to thicken slightly not fully solid, just firm enough that it’s no longer liquid. This takes about 30–45 minutes.
Want to save this for later?

Then, grab your hand mixer or stand mixer and whip the mixture for 2–3 minutes until it becomes light, fluffy, and buttery.
3. Add the Essential Oils
Mix in your vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, and clove essential oils. Give it one last quick whip to blend everything evenly.

4. Store and Enjoy
Spoon your whipped body butter into clean jars or tins and store them in a cool, dry place. It’ll last for about 6 months, though chances are you’ll finish it long before that.

💛 Notes & Tips:
- Any carrier oil (like jojoba, avocado, or grapeseed) will work beautifully.
- You can strain out the ground spices if you prefer a smoother texture.
- Want extra holiday vibes? Add a tiny bit of mica powder for a soft shimmer.

Every time I use this Gingerbread Body Butter, I feel like I’m wrapping myself in a cozy sweater made of cinnamon and cookies. It’s deeply moisturizing, smells like pure joy, and makes such a thoughtful handmade gift especially when paired with a little ribbon and a handwritten tag.
Because honestly… who doesn’t want to smell like Christmas?
