I really love how easy this recipe is to make, and the scent is just amazing. The lemon gives it a fresh, citrusy smell, while the rose petals add a soft floral touch. It’s also so satisfying to know I’m using natural ingredients that work and are safe for my family.

    Kitchen Cleaner Spray Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 1/4 Cup dried rose petals
    • 1 lemon, sliced
    • 1/3 cup almond Castile soap
    • 1/4 cup white vinegar (If you have granite or marble countertops, you can skip the vinegar to prevent damage)
    • Water (distilled or filtered, to fill the bottle)
    • 10 drops essential oil (lemon, tea tree, or lavender for extra cleaning power)
    • Glass Spray Bottle

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the Bottle

Add the Lemon Slices and the dried rose petals to your glass spray bottle.

    2. Optional Infusion Step

Before adding the Castile soap, store the bottle in a cool, dark place for 10-14 days to allow the flowers, lemon, and vinegar to fully combine and release their natural properties.

    3. Pour in the Cleaning Ingredients

If skipping the infusion, pour everything directly into your spray bottle.

Add essential oils (optional) for extra cleaning power and fragrance.

    4. Fill the bottle

Fill the rest of the bottle with distilled or filtered water. Gently shake before each use.

To give your DIY Rose & Lemon Kitchen Cleaner spray a lovely pink color, you can try adding a few drops of rose or hibiscus tea (or steeped hibiscus flowers) to the recipe. The hibiscus gives a natural, vibrant pink hue and blends beautifully with the rose petals. Simply brew the tea, let it cool, and add it to the mix in place of some of the water. Another option is to use rose water (which already has a pinkish tone) to replace part of the water, giving the cleaner both a beautiful color and an extra floral boost.

Alternatively, if you’re okay with using a more synthetic option, a drop or two of red or pink food coloring will do the trick.

How to Use Kitchen Cleaner Spray

    • Spray onto kitchen surfaces and wipe clean with a cloth.
    • Works great on non-stone countertops, sinks, and stovetops.
    • Avoid using on granite or marble due if using vinegar.

The lemon slices will naturally infuse the cleaner with a fresh citrus scent over time! Replace them every 1-2 weeks for freshness.

This cleaning spray is perfect for wiping down counters, tables, and other surfaces. Simply spritz and wipe with a clean cloth.
