Ingredients

Here’s what you’ll need to make about 16 ounces of this toilet cleaner:

• 1 cup citric acid
• 1 cup baking soda
• 20 drops essential oils (optional, but lemon essential oil is my favorite!)

How to Make It

1. Add essential oils:

Start by adding your essential oils to the baking soda. If you’re skipping the oils, you can move straight to step two. I love using lemon oil because it smells fresh and has natural cleaning properties, but feel free to use any scent you like.

2. Give it all a good mix:

Mix the baking soda and citric acid together until they’re well combined. That’s it! You now have a powerful, homemade toilet cleaner ready to use.

3. Store it in a glass jar!

I usually buy mine from the Dollar Tree, but you can find them on Amazon too.

How to Use Homemade Toilet Cleaner

Using this cleaner is as easy as making it. Just follow these steps:

1. Add 1-2 tablespoons of the mixture directly to your toilet bowl.
2. Wait about 10 minutes to let it work its magic.
