Rose Simmer Pot Recipe
Ingredients:
- A handful of fresh or dried rose petals
- 1 grapefruit, sliced
- A sprinkle of peppercorns
- Water (enough to fill your pot)
- A few drops of rose essential oil (totally optional )
- Your favorite simmer pot

Instructions:
1. Slice the Grapefruit and Add It to Your Simmer Pot
Start by slicing the grapefruit into rounds or half-moons, then add them to your simmer pot. The citrus brings a bright, tangy note that pairs beautifully with the soft, floral scent of the roses.

2. Add the Rose Petals
Toss in a handful of rose petals, fresh or dried both work beautifully. The scent is delicate, romantic, and instantly soothing.

3. Add a Dash of Peppercorns
A small handful of peppercorns add the perfect subtle spicy note. It rounds out the floral and citrus with a little warmth.
Want to save this for later?

4. Fill It with Water
Pour in enough water to fill your pot about 3/4 full. This gives everything space to float and mingle without boiling over.

5. (Optional) Add Essential Oil
Add a few drops of rose essential oil. It’s totally optional, but a nice touch if you want an extra fragrance boost.
6. Bring to a Gentle Simmer
Set your pot on the stove and bring everything to a gentle simmer over low heat. You don’t want it to boil, just a soft steam.
This helps the ingredients gently release their scent as they warm up.
7. Enjoy the Aroma!
That’s it! Your home will be filled with a soft, romantic scent that feels luxurious and calming.
Let it simmer uncovered for as long as you’d like. Add more water as needed to keep the pot from drying out. Your home will smell like a dreamy rose garden in no time.

Notes:
- You can reuse the same pot of ingredients a couple of times, just store it in the fridge between uses.
- Swap grapefruit for orange if that’s what you have on hand.
- This also makes a lovely centerpiece for a brunch or a romantic dinner, just let it cool slightly and keep it nearby.
