I have been on a spree, trying new sugar scrub recipes every week, and this one is my second favorite, right after the vanilla coconut sugar scrub I made last week. This rose sugar scrub was so easy to make, and it’s perfect for gifting. It looks beautiful, smells divine, and is very exfoliating.

If you love floral scents and soft, glowing skin, you’re going to love this one!

Benefits of Rose Sugar Scrub

  • Exfoliates Gently:The sugar removes dead skin cells, leaving your skin soft and smooth.
  • Deeply Hydrates:The carrier oil nourishes and moisturizes, preventing dryness. I usually use coconut oil, almond oil, jojoba or sunflower oil.
  • Brightens Skin: Regular use can help improve skin tone and add a natural glow.
  • Soothes Irritation: Rose petals have anti-inflammatory properties that calm redness and irritation.
  • Rich in Antioxidants: Rose contains antioxidants that help protect the skin.
  • Aromatherapeutic Benefits:The natural rose scent promotes relaxation and reduces stress.
  • Enhances Circulation: Massaging the scrub onto your skin can boost blood flow for a healthy complexion.

How to Make Rose Sugar Scrub

Ingredients

Instructions

1. Add the Sugar

In a bowl, add the sugar. This will be the base of your scrub, giving it that perfect exfoliating texture.

2. Combine the Rose Petals

Mix in the dried rose petals. They’ll make the scrub look extra pretty!

3. Pour in the Oil

Slowly add your carrier oil of choice. I used sunflower oil, but you can also try almond, jojoba, or even coconut oil if you prefer a more nourishing feel.

4. Add the Essential Oil (Optional)

If you love the smell of roses, add 10–15 drops of rose essential oil.

5. Mix in the Mica (Optional)

If you want your scrub to have that soft pink color, stir in a pinch of pink mica powder. This step is totally optional but makes the scrub look extra pretty.

6. Mix Until Perfect

Stir everything together until the texture is sandy and sugary, not too wet but perfectly blended. Adjust the oil or sugar if needed to get the consistency you want.

7. Store in a Jar

Transfer the scrub into a clean jar.

Notes

  • You can make your own rose oil by infusing dried rose petals in a carrier oil for a few weeks. It’s a great way to get a natural rose scent!
  • If you don’t have pink mica, you can leave it out or use a tiny bit of beetroot powder for a natural pink tint.
  • This scrub makes an amazing gift! Just scoop it into a pretty jar, add a ribbon, and you have the perfect handmade present.
  • Use within 3 months for best freshness.
