I’m really embracing my DIY side lately, and making new recipes each week. This honey lip scrub was so simple to make and uses ingredients we usually have at home but rarely think of for skincare. I used to spend so much money buying things that I now realize I can easily make myself. This honey lip scrub is one of them.
Not only does this DIY honey lip scrub work wonders to exfoliate your lips, but it’s also completely natural. No strange chemicals or artificial ingredients. Plus, there’s something so satisfying about making something yourself (and as a bonus, it smells incredible!).
Let me introduce you to my go-to Honey Lip Scrub recipe! It’s quick, easy, and so effective.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of honey: Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it helps your skin hold onto moisture. Plus, it’s super soothing!
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar (white or brown).
- 1 teaspoon of coconut oil (or any carrier oil like almond or grapeseed oil)
- 8-10 drops of essential oil

Instructions
1. Mix the Honey and Sugar
Grab a small bowl and mix together the honey and sugar until they’re well combined.

2. Add the Carrier Oil
Stir in the carrier oil. Keep mixing until the whole thing forms a nice, paste-like consistency.

3. Add Essential Oils
Finally, add your essential oils and mix it all together.

How to Use Your Honey Lip Scrub:
Gently massage the scrub onto your lips in circular motions for about 1 minute.
Rinse off with warm water and pat your lips dry with a towel. This helps slough off dead skin and boosts circulation, leaving your lips super soft.
Notes:
- This scrub will help exfoliate dead skin and leave your lips feeling soft and smooth. Use it once a week for the best results.
- Store it in an airtight container, and it should last you around 2-3 weeks. Just make sure to keep it in a cool, dry spot.
