When I was chatting with my friend about this easter unicorn sugar scrub, we got so excited thinking about how beautiful it would look layered in a jar, like a pastel rainbow perfect for Easter!

If you’re looking for an easy, fun, and thoughtful DIY gift, this Easter Sugar Scrub is the perfect choice. It’s colorful, smells amazing, and makes your skin feel super soft. Plus, it’s totally beginner-friendly!

Easter Unicorn Sugar Scrub Recipe

This recipe makes about 8 ounces of scrub, just enough to fill a small glass jar for gifting (or keeping for yourself!).

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup carrier oil (like avocado, coconut, or sweet almond oil)
  • 4 mica powders (for those dreamy pastel colors)
  • 10 drops essential oil (optional, but adds a lovely scent!)

Instructions:

Step 1: Mix the Oils

In a small bowl, add your essential oil (if using) into the carrier oil and stir to combine. This helps evenly distribute the scent.

Step 2: Combine with Sugar

Pour the scented oil mixture into the sugar and mix well. Your base scrub is now ready!

Step 3: Add the Colors

Divide the sugar scrub mixture into four equal bowls. Add a different mica powder to each bowl and stir until the color is fully blended. Adjust the color intensity by adding more or less mica powder to your liking.

Step 4: Layer It Up!

Grab a glass jar and start layering the different colors on top of each other. Press each layer down gently with a spoon to create clean, defined stripes.

Notes:

  • Essential oils are optional. Lavender or ylang ylang are great smells for Easter!
  • Any carrier oil will work. I used avocado oil.
  • I used about 1 teaspoon of mica powder per color, but it is all based on your preference!
