It’s finally November how did that happen so fast? I swear it was just summer yesterday, and now I’m already craving cozy sweaters, candles, and anything that smells like vanilla and sugar cookies.
When the weather gets colder, my lips always start feeling dry, so instead of buying another lip scrub, I decided to make my own and let me tell you, it smells amazing.
This Sugar Cookie Lip Scrub is sweet, and so easy to make with just a few ingredients you probably already have in your kitchen.
I love making it in small jars to gift to friends with a cute tag.
If you’re into homemade skincare, pair this with my Sugar Cookie Lip Balm recipe for the best combo ever.
Why You’ll Love This Sugar Cookie Lip Scrub
If you’ve never made a lip scrub before, this one is the perfect place to start. It’s quick, smells amazing, and leaves your lips so soft you’ll want to make a batch for gifting too.
It’s the perfect mix of gentle exfoliation and hydration. The brown sugar buffs away dry skin, while the oils and vanilla leave your lips smooth and lightly sweet almost like you just baked cookies.

Sugar Cookie Lip Scrub Recipe:

- 3 teaspoons carrier oil (I used jojoba oil)
- 2 drops vanilla essential oil

1. Mix the Oils
In a small bowl, add your carrier oil. Stir in the vanilla essential oil and copaiba essential oil until they’re nicely blended.

2. Add Vanilla Extract
Mix in the vanilla extract it’s what gives this scrub that “freshly baked cookie” scent.

3. Combine and Stir
Add the brown sugar and stir until everything turns into a scrub-like texture. It should look grainy but slightly glossy from the oils.

4. Store It
Transfer to a small airtight container or lip balm tin. Keep it handy on your vanity or bathroom shelf.

How to Use Sugar Cookie Lip Scrub:
Scoop out a small amount with your fingertip, gently rub onto your lips in circular motions, and rinse off with warm water.

Notes
- Any sugar works white, cane, or coconut but brown sugar gives it that deep cookie-like color and scent.
- Use any carrier oil you love: jojoba, almond, or even coconut oil all work beautifully.
