Rosemary Infused Olive Oil Recipe
Ingredients:
- Olive oil of your choice
- Rosemary (dried or from a spice jar)
- Mason jar (I used a 6-ounce one)
- Cheesecloth

Instructions:
1. Prepare the rosemary
Add 3 tablespoons of dried rosemary to a mason jar.

2. Add the olive oil
Fill the jar with olive oil, making sure the rosemary is fully submerged.

3. Let it infuse
Secure the lid and let it sit for two weeks, giving it a gentle shake every couple of days. You can place the jar in a sunny window.
If you want to speed up the process, you can use a double boiler. Place the mason jar on the rim inside the water. Be careful, as it can tip over. Heat on low for about an hour. When removing the mason jar, be cautious, it will be hot.

4. Strain the oil (optional)
Once infused, strain the oil if desired or leave the rosemary in for a stronger infusion over time. If you prefer a smooth oil without rosemary pieces, grab a second mason jar and place a cheesecloth over the jar’s opening, letting a bit of it hang over the sides. Pour the infused oil through the fabric, allowing the oil to filter through while the rosemary stays on top. Then discard the rosemary.

5. Store
Place the lid on and store it in the fridge to keep it fresh longer. Infused oils don’t have preservatives, so refrigeration helps prevent spoilage.

You can get the same glass bottle on Amazon.
